Biography of Rev. Heraclio John Wyatt, Jr.


Heraclio John Wyatt, Jr., a native of Brooklyn, New York and a resident of the Bronx, is the eldest of four sons born to Rev. Heraclio John Wyatt, Sr. and Sister Tryphena Wyatt. He is a graduate of New York University with a BA in Economics. Raised in a Christian home, Heraclio accepted Jesus Christ as his master and savior at the age of fourteen. Years later at the age of seventeen, he preached his first sermon “Stand Still”. Since 1998, Heraclio has served faithfully the congregation at the Crotona Park Apostolic Faith Church. He has served as Sunday school teacher for the junior high school class, choir director, and provided pastoral care particularly through home visitations to the elderly. During his time there he has also served as youth pastor and associate pastor. In May of 2012, Pastor Johnny, graduated from the Alliance Theological Seminary with a Master’s of Divinity, where he was awarded with the Luis A. Carlo award for Urban ministry. School and ministry has also given pastor the opportunity to travel throughout the country and abroad. In 2010 he traveled to Cape Town, South Africa where he was a steward at the Third Lausanne Congress for World Evangelization. In January 2013 Pastor Johnny accepted the call to serve as Pastor at the Apostolic Faith Mission in Brooklyn, NY. From that time until the present he continues in the spirit of excellence in his endeavors to teach and empower the youth to be the future gospel workers of tomorrow, discipleship / leadership training with the ministerial staff and congregation, and spearheading small group Bible studies with the senior ministry. Married to his childhood sweetheart Paulette; a father to two beautiful children; son, brother, teacher, and counselor, Heraclio continues to “press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus”; leading people to live a resurrected life in Jesus Christ under the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Children's Church Ministry
This ministry provides children ages 2 through 12 a safe, comfortable and fun-filled environment where they can receive spiritual guidance using biblical principles and teachings on their level of understanding. Children are encouraged to build a lifelong relationship with God and are free to worship God through praise, worship and sharing their testimonies.
Youth Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to provide a spiritual environment that will enable women to grow in their faith, in their relationship with Jesus Christ and to connect with each other. The ministry organizes opportunities for fellowship through prayer groups, events and outings. Women are encouraged to identify their spiritual gifts that are then used to serve their families, the church and community.
Senior Adult Ministry
This ministry seeks to provide love and appreciation for our senior adults while acknowledging their usefulness and significance to the church body. Spiritual support is given to our senior adults through small group Bible studies, recreation, lunches and birthday celebrations.
Men's Fellowship Ministry
This ministry desires to promote the transformation of the men of the church and community into a relationship and image of God through fellowship meetings, teachings, group discussions, prayer and events / activities.
Women's Fellowship Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to provide a spiritual environment that will enable women to grow in their faith, in their relationship with Jesus Christ and to connect with each other. The ministry organizes opportunities for fellowship through prayer groups, events and outings. Women are encouraged to identify their spiritual gifts that are then used to serve their families, the church and community.
Prayer / Outreach Ministry
This ministry endeavors to provide intercessory prayer and outreach by lovingly reaching out to share the gospel message to those that are lost, incarcerated, hospitalized, institutionalized, and that are in need of the gospel outside of a traditional church setting.
Food Services Ministry
This ministry centers around the preparation of delicious meals for Sunday services and/or special events for the purpose of fellowship enhancement. The ministry is also responsible for kitchen organization, planning menus, and preparing meals in a healthy and safe environment.
Nursing Home Ministry
The primary purpose of this ministry is to provide worship services to the elderly that are in nursing homes and are no longer physically able to attend services at a house of worship. The services consist of praise and worship through songs, testimonies and an uplifting message that helps draw a person closer to God. The mission of this ministry is to encourage the elderly to know that God loves them and has not forsaken or abandoned them despite their ailment or age.
Music Ministry
This ministry is to act as a vehicle to usher in the presence of God and to lead the congregation in worship and praise through the powerful gift of song and music. It’s main purpose is to set and establish an atmosphere that is conducive to worship, enhance the worship service and assist with preparing the people for the delivery of the Word of God.
Usher Ministry
This ministry allows ushers to meet and greet other church members as well as first time visitors to the church. The purpose of the usher is to strive to make church attendees feel comfortable and welcome to the services. The usher assists people that need help and assures aisles are clear and safe.
Sunday School Ministry
This ministry strives to provide a structure for teaching God’s word in small groups that are geared to all age levels. Children, youth, and adults are given opportunities for discovery, review and interaction as they study God’s principles in the Word of God through fellowship and small group discussions. This ministry mobilizes and trains individuals for leadership.
Safety & Security Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to provide a safe environment for all church members and visitors while they are in scheduled services. This ministry also attempts to take away distractions from members and visitors concerning personal safety and property protection so that attention can be devoted to worshipping the Lord during services.
Transportation Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to provide transportation for members and non-members that would like to attend church services and church related events.
Audio / Visual Ministry
This ministry supports all worship services, special events and activities by providing quality sight and sound equipment, personnel, logistics, visuals and production for the purpose of enhancing the worship experience. The ministry is also responsible for broadcasting services live via the internet as well as reproducing pre-recorded services for distribution.
Media Ministry
This ministry is responsible for creative multi-media publications that help advertise and promote church events and activities.
